Hello St Leo Community!
Congratulations to all of the St Leo track team who competed on Friday. Congratulations especially to Brooklyn who placed first in his event!! Well done.
Thanks to parents Stephanie and Ashanti who cleaned up the CSPC lockup this week. Great work!
Below are all the updates you need for the coming weeks:
The first of four the St Leo CSPC hosted parent yoga/wellness evenings will take place this coming week on Wednesday May 22nd from 7 to 8 pm in the school gym. All are welcome. Bring your own yoga mat. Childcare will be provided if you need it. If you will be using the childcare, please let us know in advance so we have enough sitters. Either respond to this email or send a message directly to Nikki at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a great opportunity to take some time for yourself … and even meet a few more parents from the St. Leo Community. We hope to see many parents at these sessions. The next sessions will be held on Wednesday May 29th, Monday June 3rd and Monday June 10th.
The Travelling Stage Dance Workshop Performances will take place on May 23rd at 1:00 pm in the school gym. All are welcome.
The St. Leo Snack and Nutrition Program at will be having a free pasta lunch for all students on Thursday May 23rd instead of a morning snack. The meal will include a juice, pasta with marinara sauce and a piece of fruit for dessert. No need to pack a lunch for your kids that day.
The annual Spring Fling will take place on June 6th in the evening.
We need a lot of volunteers for this event. Please respond to this email if you are interested in volunteering to help plan the event or to run a station (game or food) on that evening.
If you are interested in sponsoring a bouncy castle or game (or know a business that would be) please get in touch. The sponsorship prices are as follows – zorbs ($500), regular bouncy castle ($350), games ($150), cotton candy ($125) and main stage ($400).
If you would like to rent space (with or without a table) please respond to this email. A 10X10ft space (without a table) is $50.
We have started collecting used (but washed) stuffies and small toys as prizes for the Spring Fling games. Please drop off your washed stuffies and small toys at the St Leo front office.
Please drop off baked goods on the morning of June 6th at the school for the Spring Fling bake sale.
Reminders in case you missed them the first time:
There will be a pizza party for the Junior Girls Basketball team this Friday May 24th. No need for our ballers to pack lunch that day.
The dates for Grade 3 and Grade 6 EQAO testing this year is the week of May 27th. Please keep this in mind and refrain from booking appointments for your child/ren between May 27th and May 31st. If you would like more information about EQAO testing, please visit the EQAO website at www.EQAO.com
There will be a pizza party for the track team on May 31st. No need for the athletes to pack lunch that day. I will remind you again closer to the date.

The Gauthier Family and Roadsport Auto Group graciously donated a genuine Honda HRR MicroCutTM Rear-Bag lawnmower to St Leo C.S. to raffle off. We started the raffle at the auction and it will continue until the Spring Fling. At the close of the Spring Fling, Mrs. Ugrin will pull the lucky winner’s ballot out of the raffle box. Starting Monday, you can buy your tickets to this raffle on-line: 1 ticket - $5.00, 5 tickets - $20.00, 20 tickets - $50.00. If you are buying tickets for other people (Your neighbours? Your granny?), please fill out the names and phone numbers of the purchasers on the ticket sheet being sent home in backpacks (and attached) and return it to school. No ticket receipts will be sent home. Your name and phone number will be written (for each ticket you purchase) on a ballot sheet which will, in turn, be put into the raffle box. Please share this raffle with all your friends.
