Hello St Leo Community,

 

Congratulations to the boys and girls soccer teams which made St. Leo’s proud this past week.  The girls even brought home the pennant for first place.  Awesome!!


Best wishes to the boys and girls basketball teams which will be competing at tournaments this week.  Go Lions Go!!


Below are all the updates you need for the coming weeks:

  1. The last day to send in money and forms for Hot Dog day is Monday February 4th.  Hot Dog day itself is Friday February 8th.   This is a fundraiser for the St Leo Swim Team.  Kudos to the Swim Team Coaches and Swimmers who are doing their best to be self-sufficient.  Well done!

  2. February’s St Leo Parent Council (CSPC) meeting is on Wednesday February 6th at 6:30 in the staff room.  All parents are invited and welcome.

  3. National Sweater Day is Friday February 8th.  The St Leo ECO team continues to encourage responsible student stewardship of our planet’s resources and is promoting National Sweater Day as a fun way to learn about the importance of saving energy and using less heat all winter. Make sure you wear your warm sweater on Friday.  Facilities Services will turn down the heat in the school by two degrees to support your efforts.

  4. The annual dance-a-thon will take place on February 14thPledge forms will go home this week.  Check for them in back packs.

Reminders in case you missed them the first time:

  1. The boys' basketball tournament will be held on Tuesday February 5th.

  2. The girls’ basketball tournament will be held on Thursday February 7th.

  3. Kindergarten Registration in Toronto Catholic Schools has begun.  Children born in 2015 are eligible for kindergarten starting in September 2019.  Parents can complete their application online at SOAR.tcdsb.org, and follow up with a visit to the school to present the required documents. The online application is available 24 hours.
