St Leo Newsletter - week ending June 16, 2017

Good evening St. Leo Community

On behalf of all of us, I would like to extend our sincerest sympathy to Mrs. Ugrin who lost her beloved father this past week.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

This week is a jam packed week at St Leo CS:

  • Tuesday June 20th at 6:00 pm – Spring Concert
  • Wednesday June 21st at 6:30 pm in the school library – CSPC AGM.  All are welcome
  • Thursday June 22nd at 6:30 pm in the school gym, St Leo is pleased to be hosting a presentation for parents by Paul Davis on SOCIAL NETWORKING & ONLINE SAFETY.   Paul is a well- known contributor to various news programs and has also worked with law enforcement agencies – RCMP, OPP and CBSA. Paul’s expertise is in the area of Social Networking Safety.  His presentations educate students and parents about responsible use of technology.   See attached flyer.  We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to bring anyone who you feel would find this useful
  • Friday June 23rd - Kiss the Fish and the Talent Show

There are still a few year books available for pre-order.  Money ($14) can sent in to the school attention Mlle. Hunter.

Finally big congratulations to our SKs who celebrated their graduation yesterday.  We are so proud of you and wish you all the best as you move on to Grade One.  Thank you to the teachers for all their guiding and teaching of our littles ones and also for prepping them for the graduation ceremony.  Thanks also to Mrs. McClue, the pianist for yesterday’s celebration, to Lucy Dorgan and Jenna Iasko for preparing the refreshments and a big thank you to the Grade 8s who were once again so helpful throughout this event.

As always feel free to contact me if ever you have concerns … or just want to share some great ideas … and don’t forget to check out our website at and follow us on twitter @stleosfun

Make sure to let our St Leo’s Community Partners know that you found out about them here.  A special thanks goes out to this week’s Community Partners of the week – Lakeside Pharmacy and True Rhythm
