The St. Leo bowling team led by Ms Arbour and Ms Park closed out a successful season in the weekly Monday M.E. bowling league at the banquet on May 12th at which we WON FIRST PLACE in the scores tally. We are now the proud 2016 recipients of the "Golden Pin" which is displayed in the trophy case next to the Staff Room.
A huge thank you to Ms Mullin and her grade one class for their very special and moving celebration of the Crowning of Mother Mary.
Shout out to Ms Arbour's class who attended the Special Olympics at the City Track & Field Meet at Varsity Stadium. We had 6 runners put forth their best effort in the 50m dash and all crossed the finish line with "personal best" times! Congratulations to all of the athletes and the amazing parents and educational assistants who supported the runners during the race.
Pizza Day is Wednesday.
We are seeking baked goods for the Spring Fling! If you're unsure how to contribute to this annual community event and are a baker - this is your chance!!! All baked goods can be dropped off in the school office the morning of June 9th!
A huge thank you to the many of you who have donated small toys and stuffies for prizes. If you haven't donated yet, please drop them off in the office. We are still seeking volunteers to help with the events as we are short on volunteers because of the Work to Rule. Please consider lending a hand. Any time is hugely appreciated.
Shout Out to our community partners of the week Tony's Flooring and BluePrint Home Inspections. Thank you for generous support of our school.
St. Leo is helping the Red Cross relief effort in Fort McMurray and an education initiative in an Equadorian School. Remember to send in your pocket change so that the children can put it in the jar of the teacher they want to "kiss the fish".
Collection will take place between May 11th and June 2nd and the Assembly where the lucky teacher kisses the fish will be on June 3rd! All are welcome to attend!
