May 23rd Weekly Newsletter

Happy long weekend St. Leo!  Hope everyone enjoyed this first beautiful taste of summer!

St. Leo is helping the Red Cross relief effort in Fort McMurray and an education initiative in an Equadorian School.  Remember to send in your pocket change so that the children can put it in the jar of the teacher they want to "kiss the fish".
Collection will take place between May 11th and June 2nd and the Assembly where the lucky teacher kisses the fish will be on June 3rd!  All are welcome to attend!

The Spring Fling is fast approaching.  Unfortunately due to the Work to Rule our teachers are unable to volunteer.  We are putting forth a somewhat desperate call for parents to help with food service and event supervision.  We are very short on manpower this year and will take whatever hours you are willing to spare.  Please respond to this email if you are able to help out.

We are still seeking small toys and stuffies  to be used for prizes.  Thank you to those who have already brought them in!

If you have a lawn and are willing to post a St. Leo Spring Fling lawn sign for the next two weeks please respond to this email.  I will personally drop them off to your house and pick them up the day after the Spring Fling.

On Tuesday, May 24 Lakeshore Arts presentation to Grade 7 and Grade 8 students will take place by Michelle Weekes.  Congratulations to all students working on the Shazaam Project and to Lakeshore Arts for their continued support of our school
