St Leo Newsletter - week ending December 2

Good morning St. Leo Community

I hope everyone had a great week.

Below are the reminders and updates you need for next week.

  1. Thanks so much to the Dettbarn family for bringing SAD MONSTER to our children this past week.  An order form for the book has been sent home, but is also attached.  If you would like to order a SAD MONSTER book (or books) make sure you have your order form handed in on Monday, December 5th.  Remember that all book proceeds go back to the school.

  2. The Primary Advent Celebration is Tuesday, December 6 at 6pm in St. Leo Church.  Please have your JK to Grade 3 children back at the school for 5:30.  Teachers will require some time to help all the students into their costumes and add final touches.

  3. Tuesday is going to be a hectic evening for most families.  To take some of the stress away we are offering pizza before the advent ceremony.  Order forms were sent home, but one is also attached.  If you would like to order pizza for your family on Tuesday, please have the order form back at school by Monday, December 5th.  Pizza will be served at 5:15 pm in Room 233.

  4. Teachers – skip over to this item and go to 5).  Parents – we will be having the annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on December 21st from 8-9 am. We are looking for yummy breakfast foods to be dropped off that morning and/or volunteers to serve our hard working teachers.  Please send me a note if you would be able to volunteer and if you will be bringing food.  I will keep a running list to ensure we have a variety.

  5. The CSPC meeting is Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 in the library.  I look forward to seeing you there.

  6. The French Immersion Open House will take place January 11th from 6 pm to 8 pm

  7. Registration on-line begins on January 18th at 10 am EST.  Access soar.tcdsb.org to complete on line registration.  Evening Registration (no appointment necessary) is on January 31st.

  8. The annual NEW hat, mitten, glove and scarf drive continues till Friday December 23rd.  All donated items will go to the local women's shelter.

  9. The non-perishable food drive continues till December 23rd.  All of these donations will be given to the Good Sheppard.
