Some of you are aware of past system-wide initiatives involving the name, Nelson Mandela, that encompassed his visit to the Skydome in the ‘90s to the Toonie Day Programme in recent years that supported students in South Africa with education, health care and accommodation.  The Nelson Mandela Committee continues to promote Mr. Mandela’s theme of social justice, which is congruent with our Catholic Gospel Values, and encourages schools to participate in the upcoming Freedom Walk on Saturday June 20, 2015 from the recently renamed University Avenue (corner of Armory Street) , now known as Nelson Mandela Blvd., to the Queen’s Park Legislative Grounds.   For more information please contact   Ericka Aguilera Morales      ericka.aguileramorales@tcdsb.org              (416) 951-6130

Please respond to this email if you are interested in representing St. Leo at the PanAm Celebrations at Humber College in July.

School is back on September 8th, 2015.  Office will be open on Aug 31st.  Please save the date for Curriculum Night on September 17th!

Please check out Lakeshore Arts at www.lakeshorearts.ca for fantastic arts programming for children and adults alike. Thank you Lakeshore Arts for your support of St. Leo School!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas to make our school even more awesome!!!  Have a joyful and blessed week!
