May 19th CSPC weekly letter

Good morning parents and teachers!  Hope everyone had a great long weekend!  Please remember to check out our website www.stleoparentcouncil.org for up to date info and reminders.

The Students Acquire the Faith Conference was an amazing and inspirational day!  Thank you to Ms LeHane and Ms Starr for their time and effort in making this inaugural event the success that it was!  Thank you to all parents who helped volunteer and to San Remo's for the delicious pastries.

A HUGE thank you to Jackie McGrath and Carey Burleigh for their hard work with all of our students on the murals that now line our play yard.   A huge thank you to Ms Simas, Rob Matejka and all students who worked on the murals for the Kindergarten yard.  They are all fantastic and truly change the entire space!

Congratulations to all of our students who competed at Track and Field on Friday!  We are so proud of you!  Thank you to Ms LeHane and Ms Starr for their support and coaching.

Thank you to the Larson family for the donation of a push broom to sweep up the mulch in the Kindergarten yard as well as the anonymous donation of pails and shovels for Spring time! ( Please feel free to sweep up a bit of mulch while you wait for little one! )

Reminder that Wednesday May 20th is a Public SARC meeting.  7:00p.m. at St. Louis School.  We Need You There!

The future of our school depends on it!

Wellness Day at St. Leo was a huge success!  Thank you to Claire McMullan and all parent volunteers (especially Julie and Suzy) for continuing to feed our children and nurture their belief that healthy bodies make healthy minds!

Thank you to John Zarand and Jackie McGrath for helping to coach soccer!  Very much appreciated!

The Spring Fling is Coming! Thursday June 4th, 2015.  It is going to be the best yet!  The entertainment is AMAZING and admission is free!!! We need volunteers to help make it a reality.  Respond to this email if you can help and remember any time is appreciated.

Don't forget we are looking for stuffies and small toys as prizes to be used at games for the Spring Fling.  Also looking for gift certificates and items that could generate funds for the auction.  So many ways to contribute! Remember all funds go right back to benefit your child's education.

Please find attached a parent tip sheet on the new sex ed curriculum provided by the Ministry.

Maple Leaf Sports does it again!  What a wonderful ball hockey tournament last week!  Thank you for the generous donation to our skate locker and for their continued generosity and support of our school!

That is a lot of amazing things to happen in one week at any school!

Shout out to our sponsor of the week LAKESIDE PHARMACY!  Thank you for supporting our school!

Hoping everyone has a great week and please always let me know if you have any questions, concerns or ideas for making our school even more awesome!

Warmest Regards,

Michelle
