Weekly Newsletter April 12th

Spring is finally here!!!  Please have a look at some of the great things happening at our school this week:

Congratulations to our Grade Eight students on their confirmation today!  They made us all proud as they stood in St. Leo Church.  As young adults and those who support them, Father Frank challenged us all to use the power within us to do good.  It was a wonderful celebration with special thanks to the Religious Celebration Committee - Tania Zoldak and Helen Curcic for their hard work and for making it such an organized and special occasion.

A special thank you to Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment for the generous hockey lessons for St. Leo.  Good luck and much fun to all students participating on Monday!

This Friday MPP Peter Milczyn will be joining the JK and SK students to plant spring bulbs in our front garden.  If anyone knows of any Seniors in our community who might be willing to help please let us know at this email.  As well, if anyone knows who might be able to donate some bulbs for the school, any leads would be appreciated!

Pasta Day is Thursday, April 16th.  Look for forms in your child's backpack.

The Spring Fling is quickly approaching.  If you have any stuffies or small toys that you are getting rid of in your Spring Cleaning, please keep them in mind for prizes.  As well we are looking for volunteers to help out on June 4th.  Please respond to this email if you are interested.  We need your help!

St. Leo sponsor of the week is the fantastic real estate agent Lilette Weins of Bosley Real Estate.  Thank you Lilette for so generously supporting St. Leo School.

Dance workshop is Tuesday - reminder to dress kids in comfy, easy to move in clothes.

Reminder that French Immersion Information Meeting will take place on April 30th at 6:30p.m. at St. Leo School.

Check out the website for daily twitter reminders, the calendar and exciting events at the school - it is there as a resource for you.  www.stleoparentcouncil.org

Have a wonderful week and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas how to make our school even more awesome!

Warmest Regards,
