A huge thanks to all parents for a smooth Hallowe’en. We had no issues with candy, baked goods etc. Everyone was respectful of our allergen aware school issues and was most generous in their sharing of Hallowe'en treats!

Please note that our 2nd Annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast will be held on December 16th.  We as parents meet at the school from 8:00a.m. - 9:00a.m. to welcome our teachers with a lovely breakfast to say thank you for all of their hard work in supporting our children every day. If you are interested in being a part of this very fun morning please respond to this email.  We are looking for parents to help both in breakfast items (quiche, baked goods, fruit trays etc) and in serving, the morning of! 

At our recent CSPC meeting Eric Vanderwol spoke to us regarding concerns of increased traffic on Stanley street - particularly streets in Mimico that are being used as "shortcuts" to the Lakeshore.  If you are interested in signing a petition to bring this concern to Toronto Transportation Services please email mimico.traffic.petition@outlook.com  Your voice will make a difference!   
Please also visit Councillor Grimes website for a free "Slow Down - Children At Play" sign at http://www.markgrimes.ca  Councillor Grimes is actively trying to combat congested traffic in South Etobicoke and your letters and emails are important as he advocates for our Ward at City Hall.  Please email his office at councillor_grimes@toronto.ca  

It is official Anthony Simms is the winner of the Cleanup Drive and received the $100.00 ToysRUS gift card.  Thank you Anthony for your hard work and dedication in raising funds for our school! The YELLOW HOUSE won the Cleanup Drive bringing in a whopping $840.00!!!!  They will celebrate with a frozen yogurt sundae party on November 20th!  The Green, Blue and Red Houses all came in around $400.00 each.  Many thanks again for everyone's contributions!
